Primjena u estetskoj kirurgiji samo je još jedan dokaz revolucije koju su u medicini pokrenule matične stanice. Prva se na ovu revolucionarnu operaciju odvažila talijanka Stefania Anedda. 'Recimo da je, nakon što sam ispunila svoju žensku dužnost, a to je da postanem majka, to oduvijek bila moja želja', kaže Stefania.

No prije zahvata dobro se informirala. 'Nisam htjela umetke. Kad sam čula za mogućnost povećanja grudi matičnim stanicama, zainteresirala sam se. Stručnost liječnika me dodatno ohrabrila', ističe.

'Nema nikakvih nedostataka, nema nikakve kontraindikacije baš zbog toga što se radi izričito sa prirodnim stvarima. Znači matične stanice od čovjeka za što ne postoji nikakva mogućnost komplikacije', kaže kirurginja Danijela Komljenović.

Bez komplikacija

Bez komplikacija i skalpela u svega dva sata do željenog učinka, a oporavak traje izuzetno kratko svega 24 sata. 'Ubrizgavanje se obavlja kroz mali otvor, svega tri milimetra. Pacijentica već drugi dan može normalno funkcionirati', pojašnjava Sanadori Akita, estetski kirurg. Matične stanice napravile su velike pomake u medicini. Estetska kirurgija samo je njen produžetak.

'Ne biste vjerovali, kardiolozi ih koriste u akutnim fazama bolesti, kao i kroničnim. Zatim, koriste se kod liječenja Kronove bolesti, pa čak i radijacije', dodaje Akita. Napretkom tehnologije napreduje i njihova primjena u liječenju. Mogućnost uporabe već je i sada golema. A svakog se sljedećeg dana, samo povećava.
